BANGLADESH AUCTION
|
SALE OF - 06TH JANUARY 2015 (SALE NO.33) |
CTC LEAF: 31,721 packages and 35 packages of old season teas on offer met with a good demand. BROKENS: Good Brokens met with a better demand and were generally about steady particularly the smaller ones which were mostly firm to slightly dearer. These could be quoted between Tk. 195/- and Tk.200/-. The remainder were often easier following quality. There were fair withdrawals. FANNINGS: Good Fannings met with quite a good demand and prices were fairly steady. Other varieties were often easier and met with fair withdrawals. CTC DUST: 5,862 packages of teas on offer met with a slightly improved demand. A few good liquoring varieties were fully firm to slightly dearer following competition. Other varieties sold at around last levels easing slightly in line with quality. Blenders lent more support with fair interest from the Loose tea buyers. COMMENTS: Inspite of hartal/strike, there was a fair number of buyers present in the auction who lent quite a good support. All bright liquoring types met with quite a strong demand but Medium and plainer types often met quite a discriminating market. Blenders operated in usual strength whilst there was again less interest from the Loose tea buyers. Good liquoring Dusts were a strong feature of the sale. Our catalogue (This week) Avg: Tk.192.89, sold 77.43% & (Last Week) Avg. Tk.191.31 sold 75.83.
