Strong but irregular demand for the 88,870 (5,793,234 kilos) on offer and 17.64% remained unsold.

The best BP1s on offer were upto USC14 easier with brighter categories gaining USC10 to USC20 but some lines eased by USC5 to USC24 while mediums met strong competition appreciating by USC2 to USC38 although some invoices shed upto USC20. Lower mediums were a weak feature and declined by USC6 to USC24 but a few improved teas appreciated by upto USC10 with plainer descriptions irregular ranging between firm to USC34 dearer to easier by upto USC8.

Best PF1s available were upto USC6 dearer with brighter types appreciating by upto USC34 while mediums were a strong feature gaining USC15 to USC40. Lower mediums met an irregular enquiry varying between USC4 to USC32 above last prices to easier by upto USC28 while plainer sorts were irregular and ranged between firm to USC20 dearer to easier by upto USC15.

The best PDUSTs eased by USC14 while brighter category shed USC2 to USC15 with mediums irregular varying between USC12 dearer to easier by USC4 to USC6. Lower mediums appreciated by USC8 to USC30 but a few invoices were upto USC10 easier with plainer teas irregular and varied between USC6 to USC36 dearer to easier by a similar level.

The best DUST1s shed upto USC12 while brighter types were USC10 to USC24 dearer with mediums irregular ranging between firm to USC18 dearer to easier by upto USC6. Lower medium DUST1s gained USC6 to USC28 with plainer descriptions USC4 to USC40 above last levels.

In the secondary catalogues the BPs were dearer while and PFs appreciated. Clean well sorted coloury Fannings were dearer while similar DUSTs were barely steady. Other Fannings were easier with similar DUSTs firm. BMFs were well absorbed at easier levels.

Pakistan Packers maintained strong support with more activity from Egyptian Packers, Afghanistan and Bazaar. UK and Sudan were active while Yemen and other Middle Eastern countries lent good interest but at lower levels. Kazakhstan, other CIS countries and Russia showed less interest while Iran was quiet. Somalia was active but at lower levels.
