Strong demand for the 95,917 packages (6,255,617 kilos) at irregular rates with prices closely following quality and 16.20% offerings were unsold.

Best BP1s available were upto USC5 dearer while brighter categories were well competed for at USC6 to USC14 dearer but some invoices opened USC4 to USC6 below last levels with mediums a strong feature gaining upto USC60 and more. Lower mediums met irregular interest varying between USC4 to USC80 dearer to easier by upto USC2 with plainer types holding firm to USC6 above last prices.

Best PF1s on offer were upto USC11 dearer while brighter sorts gained USC4 to USC22 with mediums USC5 to USC28 dearer but some lines eased by upto USC2; a few invoices were neglected. Lower medium PF1s saw an irregular enquiry but appreciated by USC2 to USC22 with plainer sorts USC2 to USC8 dearer but some teas remained unsold.

The best PDUSTs appreciated by upto USC12 with brighter types USC2 to USC4 dearer but a few invoices eased by upto USC10 while mediums were irregular ranging between firm to USC8 dearer to easier by USC2 to USC6. Lower mediums were USC2 to USC14 above last rates while plainer descriptions saw irregular interest and varied between firm to USC4 dearer to easier by upto USC10 with some lines neglected.

The best DUST1s were a weak feature easing by upto USC28 with brighter category USC4 to USC10 dearer while mediums held firm to USC8 dearer. Lower mediums were fully firm with plainer sorts irregularly firm to USC12 dearer.

In the secondary catalogues the BPs were steady while PFs were firm to dearer. Clean well sorted coloury Fannings were firm with similar DUSTs dearer. Other Fannings and DUSTs gained. BMFs were well absorbed.

Pakistan Packers re-asserted their dominance with more activity from Afghanistan, Yemen, other Middle Eastern countries, Kazakhstan, other CIS countries, Sudan and Bazaar. Interest from Egyptian Packers was about maintained with less and selective activity from UK while Russia and Iran were operating. Somalia maintained activity.
