There was good but irregular demand for the 126,760 packages (8,271,169 kilos) on offer with prices following quality. 17.28% of the teas were neglected.

Best BP1s met less interest easing by USC28 but a few improved lines gained upto USC102 while brighter sorts were firm to USC24 easier with mediums reflecting waning interest and shed upto USC100 and some lots were unsold although a few invoices were firm to 18 dearer. Lower mediums appreciated by USC3 to USC42 with some improved teas much dearer while plainer descriptions were a weak feature and shed USC4 to USC14 and a few teas were unsold but some lines appreciated with quality.

The best PF1s shed upto USC10 with brighter categories irregular varying between USC6 dearer to easier by USC14 to USC24 while mediums saw an irregular enquiry ranging between USC2 to USC12 dearer to easier by upto USC12 to USC26. Lower mediums saw an irregular interest and varied between USC10 dearer to easier by similar rates with plainer types about firm to USC8 easier and poorer invoices remained unsold but a few improved teas appreciated with quality.

Best PDUSTs available eased by upto USC14 while brighter sorts ranged between firm to USC4 dearer to easier by similar levels with mediums irregular varying between firm to USC2 dearer to easier by USC2 to USC36. Lower mediums were a weak feature and depreciated by upto USC16 and more for the poorer lines with plainer types about firm to USC14 easier but a few neat invoices gained with quality.

The best DUST1s lost upto USC14 with brighter category irregular varying between USC2 to USC6 easier to dearer by upto USC10 while mediums saw an irregular enquiry ranging between USC2 dearer to easier by upto USC12. Lower mediums ranged between USC12 above last prices to easier by upto USC16 with plainer types declining by upto USC24 and some teas were neglected although a few improved invoices appreciated with quality

In the secondary catalogues BPs held value while PFs tended dearer. Clean well sorted coloury Fannings showed easier tendencies with similar DUSTs firm. Other Fannings appreciated while similar DUSTs lost value. BMFs were well absorbed at easier rates.

Pakistan Packers maintained support while Afghanistan, Yemen, other Middle Eastern countries and Bazaar maintained activity. Other markets i.e. Egyptian Packers, UK, Kazakhstan, other CIS countries, Sudan and Russia showed less interest. Iran was quiet. Somalia maintained activity but at the lower end of the market.
