Good demand at irregular levels for the 112,658 packages (7,309,670kilos) offered with 21.47% remaining unsold.

The best BP1s available met improved enquiry at USC8 dearer while brighter category were irregular varying between firm to USC6 dearer to easier by upto USC10 while mediums were the weakest feature and eased by USC5 to USC68 but a few lines gained upto USC38. Lower mediums were upto USC30 and more easier but a few improved invoices gained with quality while plainer descriptions were irregularly upto USC12 below last prices.

Best PF1s were easier by upto USC6 with brighter sorts about firm to USC14 easier while mediums were irregularly easier by USC8 to USC15 and many poorer teas were neglected. Lower mediums were better absorbed and ranged between USC10 above last rates to easier by USC24 while plainer PF1s saw much improved activity and appreciated by upto USC38 and more for improved lines but poorest were neglected.

The best PDUSTs on offer lost upto USC30 with brighter types heavily discounted by USC20 to USC50 and more while mediums saw an irregular interest and varied between firm to USC10 dearer to easier by USC11 to USC40 and more with many teas unsold. Lower mediums were irregular ranging between firm to USC8 dearer to easier by upto USC16 with some lines remaining unsold while plainer sorts saw an irregular market varying between USC8 dearer with improved invoices substantially dearer but others eased by upto USC16.

The best DUST1s shed USC2 while the few brighter types on offer ranged between USC8 to USC36 dearer to easier by USC16 with mediums depreciating by upto USC44 and more. Lower mediums eased by USC10 to USC16 although a few lines were upto USC6 above last prices while plainer descriptions met an irregular enquiry varying between USC12 to USC46 dearer to easier by upto USC16.

In the secondary catalogues BPs and PFs gained. Clean well sorted coloury Fannings were firm while similar DUSTs tended easier. Other Fannings and similar DUSTs were dearer. BMFs were well absorbed.

Sudan showed strong support while Bazaar lent more interest with maintained activity from Pakistan Packers, Afghanistan and Egyptian Packers. There was less enquiry from Yemen, other Middle Eastern countries, UK and Russia with Iran operating. Somalia was more active at the lower end of the market.
