Fairly good demand for the 127,634 packages (8,264,301kilos) on offer at irregularly easier levels. 27.20% remained unsold.

Best BP1s met less enquiry at firm to USC15 easier while brighter sorts shed by USC2 to USC40 with mediums easier by upto USC40 but some lines gained by a similar margin following quality. Lower mediums were discounted by upto USC18 while plainer descriptions varied between firm to easier by upto USC16.

Best PF1s met less competition and were discounted by USC14 to USC56 while brighter category eased by upto USC50 with mediums lower by USC12 to USC24. Lower mediums depreciated by USC14 to USC42 while plainer types were USC18 to USC26 below last levels.

Best PDUSTs were a weak feature and lost upto USC68 while brighter types eased by a similar margin; mediums were lower by USC2 to USC24 but a few lines gained with quality. Lower mediums were discounted by USC2 to USC16 while plainer PDUSTs eased by upto USC16 with a few lines gaining following quality.

Best DUST1s shed by upto USC34 with brighter descriptions ranging between USC2 to USC44 below previous levels while mediums were upto USC38 easier. Lower mediums were firm to USC16 easier while plainer sorts were irregular varying between USC16 easier to firm with a few lines gaining following quality.

In the secondary catalogues BPs were firm while PFs were irregular. Clean well sorted coloury Fannings and similar DUSTs were lower. Other Fannings eased while DUSTs held value. BMFs were well absorbed at firm rates.

Egyptian Packers, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and other CIS states were active but at lower levels while Pakistan Packers, Bazaar, Yemen and other Middle Eastern countries showed less interest. Sudan maintained activity while UK was less active and selective. Russia was subdued while Iran was quiet. Somalia continued active at the lower end of the market.
