BANGLADESH AUCTION
|
SALE OF - 10TH MARCH 2015 (SALE NO.42) |
CTC LEAF: : 16,604 packages of tea on offer again met with a strong but selective demand. BROKENS/FANNINGS: There was a nominal weight of clean liquoring teas on offer which were a fully firm feature. Prices could be quoted between Tk.200/- and Tk.220/-. The plain types which constituted the bulk of the offerings were a good market and generally slightly dearer but the plainest and end of season varieties were a strong feature and mostly advanced in price. There were less withdrawals in poorer categories of tea. CTC DUST: 2,894 packages and 120 packages of Old Season tea on offer met with more demand. Better liquoring varieties were mostly dearer following competition but others sold at around last levels in line with quality. Plain end of season varieties were an easier market with some withdrawals. Blenders were more active with fairly good interest from the Loose Tea buyers. COMMENTS: With a dwindling quantity on offer, a strong demand was witnessed in this sale where prices were mostly firm. Loose tea buyers were more active particularly for the end of season types whilst the Blenders lent fairly good support. Good liquoring Dusts were again a dearer market Our catalogue (This week) Avg: Tk.152.29, sold 74.03% & (Last Week) Avg. Tk.174.06 sold 63.73%.
