CTC LEAF: 6,278 packages, 5 packages of Old season and 229 packages of New Season Teas on offer met with a stronger demand at dearer rates. BROKENS/FANNINGS: There were very few clean liquoring teas on offer which were strongly competed for and well sought after and these sold at higher rates. Prices for these could be quoted at Tk. 220/- and above. All other varieties were a dearer market. Plainest end of season types saw more demand and mostly sold at higher rates. There was much less withdrawals. CTC DUST: 1,182 packages and 18 packages of New Season Teas on offer met with a fairly good demand at easier rates. Select few lines of lower valued teas met with some competition and sold around last levels. All others were a lower market easing by Tk.15/- to Tk.20/-. Loose tea buyers lent good support with only some interest from the Blenders. COMMENTS: This was the pen-ultimate sale of the season which saw a stronger demand for practically all teas, selling at higher rates. A few New Season teas elicited spirited competition and sold at premium rates ranging between Tk.220/- and Tk.340/-. Loose tea buyers were again the dominant feature of the sale. Dusts sold well at easier rates. Our catalogue (This week) Avg: Tk.134.62, sold 92.32% & (Last Week) Avg. Tk.141.56 sold 69.40%.
