SALE OF - 05TH MAY 2015 (SALE NO.01) |
CTC LEAF: 13,408 packages and 661 packages of Old Season teas on offer met with quite a strong demand with a few withdrawals. BROKENS: All good liquoring Brokens were strongly competed for and generally sold close to Brokers' price ideas and these ranged between Tk.205/- and Tk.215/-. Medium varieties were also well supported and sold around Tk.190/- and Tk.195/-. The plain types met with a fair demand but generally sold at a discount. FANNINGS: Well made bright liquoring Fannings were strongly competed for and sold between Tk.205/- and Tk.215/-. Medium varieties witnessed a fairly good demand and generally sold between Tk.190/- and Tk.197/-. Lesser varieties realised between Tk.180/- and Tk.190/- with some withdrawals. Plainest types saw only a fair demand and were generally discounted with prices ranging between Tk.165/- and Tk.175/-. There were some withdrawals in this category. COMMENTS: This was the First Sale of the season which witnessed a good demand. There was fair enquiry from the Blenders whilst Internal Loose tea buyers operated strongly. As a result, prices realised were higher compared to the First Sale of the previous Season. Good liquoring Ds and CDs were the bright feature of the sale. Our catalogue (This week) Avg: Tk.206.06, sold 95.58%.
