CTC LEAF: 12,453 packages and 308 packages of old season teas on offer met with a strong demand. BROKENS: Well made good liquoring BOPs were strongly competed for and mostly advanced in price and these ranged between Tk.207/- and Tk.215/- and occasionally more. Well made good liquoring smaller Brokens were also a good market but eased slightly. All other varieties were about steady and there were fewer withdrawals. FANNINGS: A few well made bright liquoring Fannings were a strong market and were mostly firm to slightly dearer whilst the remainder were a little easier in line with quality. Bulk of the these sold between Tk.207/- and Tk.213/-. Medium varieties were well supported at firm rates. Lesser and plainer varieties were also a steady market and there were fewer withdrawals in this category. COMMENTS: Blenders were more active but there was less enquiry from the Internal Loose tea buyers. Good liquoring Ds were again the bright feature of the sale. Our catalogue (This week) Avg: Tk.210.88, sold 97.47% & (Last Week) Avg. Tk.206.07 sold 95.40%.
