CTC LEAF: 14,865 packages and 630 packages of old season teas on offer met with a strong demand at slightly dearer rates. BROKENS: BOPs were well sought after particularly the brighter teas which advanced by Tk.2/- to Tk.3/- and these could be quoted between Tk.208/- and Tk.217/-. Smaller varieties were a firm feature. Plainer sorts were about steady. FANNINGS: Brighter liquoring Fannings continued to meet with a strong demand and were slightly dearer by Tk.1/- to Tk.2/- and these could be quoted between Tk.208/- and Tk.215/-. Other varieties were fully firm to slightly dearer. COMMENTS: Demand continued to be strong this week with stronger competition from Blenders. Internal Loose tea buyers were slightly more active. As a result, prices were generally a little dearer. All good liquors Dusts were a stronger feature of the sale. Our catalogue (This week) Avg: Tk 212.84, sold 96.76% & (Last Week) Avg. Tk. 210.84 sold 97.88%.
