Medium varieties followed a similar trend. However, plainer types eased slightly. CTC DUST: 4,356 packages and 9 packages of Old Season Teas on offer met with a good demand at generally easier rates. Good liquoring varieties met with a strong market and were easier by Tk.5/- and sometimes more. Others eased by upto Tk.10/- in line with quality. CDs eased by Tk.10/- and more. Blenders lent good support with fair interest from the Loose tea buyers. COMMENTS: Prices eased for all varieties particularly towards the close of the sale owing to lack of adequate competition. However, the Major Blender operated in usual strength. Loose tea buyers were more selective. As a result, prices declined for all types. Good liquoring Dusts were again strongly competed for.
