CTC LEAF: 26,377 packages and 20 packages of Old Season Teas on offer met with less demand at easier rates. BROKENS: BOPs met with a fair demand but prices eased by Tk.5/- to Tk.7/- and these realised between Tk.192/- and Tk.195/-. The smaller Brokens also eased but by a lesser margin and these could be quoted between Tk.193/- and Tk.197/-. All others were an easier market with some withdrawals in the plainer categories. FANNINGS: Good liquoring Fannings met with a fair demand but prices were easier often by Tk.5/- to Tk.7/- and these realised between Tk.192/- and Tk.194/-. Medium varieties also eased whilst plainer teas were generally a steady market. However, there were a few withdrawals in this category. CTC DUST: 6,184 packages of Teas on offer met with only a fair demand at much easier rates. Good liquoring varieties met with a fairly good demand but were easier by upto Tk.15/-. All others eased further by upto Tk.20/- and sometimes more. CDs were again a lower market. Blenders lent good support with some interest from the Loose tea buyers. COMMENTS: There was less competition in this week's auction. However, Blenders continued to lend a good support particularly the major packers. Loose tea section was a weak feature. Consequently, prices declined quite considerably. Dusts were substantially easier following less competition. Our catalogue (This week) Avg: Tk 194.35 sold 93.90 % & (Last Week) Avg.
