CTC LEAF: 26,305 packages of teas on offer met with a fair demand but again at easier rates.. BROKENS: BOPs met with a better demand and prices were generally steady and these could be quoted between Tk.192/- and Tk.196/-. Smaller Brokens followed a similar trend. Other varieties were also a steady market. Plainer types were generally a firm market. FANNINGS: Good liquoring Fannings initially met with a good demand and were selling at around Tk.1/- to Tk.2/- below last levels but with the progress of sale prices eased. These types could be quoted between Tk.191/- and Tk.193/-. Mediums also eased slightly whilst plainest were generally steady. However, there were a few withdrawals. CTC DUST: 6,843 packages of tea on offer met with less demand at easier rates. Good liquoring varieties met with a fair demand but prices eased by Tk.8/- to Tk.10/- except for CDs which eased upto Tk.15/-. There were some withdrawals in this category as the sale progressed. Plainer types, however, sold well but at a drop of Tk.5/- to Tk.7/- compared to last. Blenders lent good support with fair interest from the Loose tea buyers. COMMENTS: There was more buying interest despite a larger offering. However, prices generally eased a little. Blenders were the mainstay of the market with more participation from this section. Loose tea buyers lent only a little support. Dusts were once again an easier market. Our catalogue (This week) Avg: Tk 192.10 sold 93.78 % & (Last Week) Avg. Tk. 194.42 sold 93.93%
