CTC LEAF: 30,774 packages of teas on offer met with a fair demand but prices eased further. There were some withdrawals in the plainer categories. FANNINGS: Good liquoring Fannings met with a fairly good enquiry but at easier rates and often sold at Tk.2/- to Tk.3/- below last levels. There were, however, few withdrawals in these categories. These types were selling between Tk.185/- and Tk.187. Medium varieties were also similarly easier often by Tk.3/- to Tk.4/- with some teas being withdrawn owing to lack of interest. CTC DUST: 8,209 packages of teas on offer once again met with a fair demand. Market for all varieties eased by Tk.5/- and sometimes more in line with quality. CDs were also lower easing by upto Tk.10/-. Blenders lent fairly good support with some interest from the Loose tea buyers. COMMENTS: Blenders showed a little more interest in this week's sale but as they held limits, prices generally eased further. There was only limited support from the Loose tea buyers. Consequently, there was further erosion in prices of teas for all grades. Withdrawals were heavier. Dusts were an easier market in line with quality. Our catalogue (This week) Avg: Tk 187.25 sold 75.87% & (Last Week) Avg. Tk 190.28 sold 84.7%.
