CTC LEAF: 32,259 packages and 31 packages of Old season Teas were on offer. After a hesitant start demand strengthened. BROKENS: Good Brokens met with a strong demand particularly as the sale progressed and these could be quoted between Tk.186/- and Tk.189/-. All other varieties were also firm to a touch dearer except the plainest which were easier with fair withdrawals. FANNINGS: Selective, liquoring Fannings were a strong feature and were dearer following competition often by Tk.2/- to Tk.3/- and these could be quoted between Tk.184/- and Tk.186/-. Mediums were about steady whilst the plainer teas were easier with some withdrawals. CTC DUST: 7,227 packages and 5 packages of Old Season Teas on offer met with quite a fair demand. Select few lines of best liquorng RDs/Ds were firm to slightly dearer following competition. All others mostly sold around last levels easing slightly in line with quality. Blenders lent quite good support with some interest from the Loose tea buyers. COMMENTS: There was more activity from the Blenders this week. Loose tea buyers also showed more interest. As a result, there was strong demand in the sale resulting in higher prices for many varieties. Dusts witnessed a fairly similar market.
