SALE OF - 01ST DECEMBER 2015 (SALE NO.29) |
CTC LEAF: 31,923 packages and 65 packages of Old Season Teas on offer met with a good demand at around last levels. BROKENS: Well made good liquoring Brokens were a strong feature and were generally firm to slightly dearer often by upto Tk.2/-. These could be quoted between Tk.192/- and Tk.195/-. Other varieties were about steady but plain types were generally neglected with heavier withdrawals. FANNINGS: Well made and good liquoring Fannings were quite a strong market and were generally firm on last with a few lines appreciating following competition. Prices for these could be quoted between Tk.192/- and Tk.193/-. Mediums were a steady market. Plain types were generally easier with fair withdrawals. CTC DUST: 5,372 packages and 70 packages of Old Season Teas on offer once again met with a fairly strong demand. Good liquoring teas were slightly dearer following competition. Others were mostly firm with the plainer types easing slightly. CDs were again an easier market with some withdrawals. Blenders operated fairly strongly with some interest from the Loose Tea buyers. COMMENTS: There was a better tone noticeable in this week's sale particularly for the better liquoring types. Major Blenders continued to be active with good support from the other segments of the market. Loose Tea buyers were selective. It was noticeable that buyers were discriminating against plain liquoring types, a fair quantity of which was withdrawn. Good liquoring Dusts were a dearer market. Our catalogue (This week) Avg: Tk 191.81 sold 83.60% & (Last Week) Avg. Tk 191.46 sold 90.40%
