Good demand continued at firm rates for the 10,060 packages on offer. BP.1 were firm to 3 USC dearer except for very low quality lines that were neglected. PF1 were firm to 2 USC dearer, sometimes more. PF eased by 3 to 5 USC. PD met very strong competition and were firm to 20USC dearer following quality. Forbes & Walker was set up in 1881 as a partnership between James Forbes and Chapmen Walker.
